Bike FittingFit Kit

At Southwest Bikes, we believe that everyone should fit correctly and comfortably on their bike. That’s why we use the Fit Kit bicycle fitting system. The Fit Kit uses measuring devices and software to enable us toBike Fitting put you in a safe starting position on your bike.

Once we’ve efficiently and precisely measured you to determine the correct frame size for you (seat-tube length and angle, and top-tube length) we can then make the proper adjustments for the places where you are in contact with your bicycle. From there our experts develop a customized fit for the type of rider you are and the type of bike you are on.

If you are interested in a Fit Kit appointment, please call us at 702.227.ride to set up an appointment and costs. Plan on spending up to an hour with the Fit Kit team.

Things to know about bike fitting.

If you come to Southwest Bike to get measured for either a new bicycle or your existing bike, don’t forget to bring along your typical cycling clothes and especially your cycling shoes! (it is always best to measure you in what you’ll be wearing on the bike).

Bike Fitting BicycleIf you are being measured for your current bike, please bring it with you. We’ll put you on the bike in the stand so we can see your current riding position and adjustments. This will help us when we put you on the Fit Kit to make sure we are customizing the fit just for you.

We may recommend swapping out components to make the bike truly fit you, such as stems, handlebars, seatposts and so on. You may choose to have us install them or do it yourself.

When you walk out of the shop, you’ll have your bike measurements and any adjustments we made together. Plus, we’ll make sure you have a print out of your measurements to keep.
